Woman suffers 'minor injuries' after lorry and car crash on M6

A woman has been treated for minor injuries after a lorry and a car crashed on the M6 near Walsall.

The collision took place on the northbound carriageway, between Junction 9 for Wednesbury and Junction 10 for Walsall/Wolverhampton, at around 10.25am on Thursday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene where upon arrival, crews discovered the driver of the car, a woman.

She was treated for minor injuries but declined to go to hospital and was discharged at the scene.

The crash temporarily closed two of four lanes on the motorway as motorists were warned of delays.

Long queues of traffic could be seen tailing back near Junction 10 at around 11am as a result.

National Highways confirmed at 11.30am that all lanes had reopened.

It warned drivers of residual delays of around half an hour.
